Implementation and upkeep of finance systems. Supporting the wider fiance function in the use of finance reporting tools and assisting in trial balancing and other finance based duties.

Description
  • Improvements, maintenance and ownership of bespoke reporting and budgeting model in Microsoft Excel.
  • Gathering data and production of cost centre reports using SAP and Excel.
  • Point of contact for BOFC (parent's consolidation software) queries and working to improve and streamline input into this software.
  • Point of contact for input queries to ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting and working to improve and streamline input into this software.
  • Local support to Finance team on any queries for Excel, SAP, IT Requests, other Finance systems, and general IT support as able.
  • Assisting to challenge and provide suggestions for improvements to existing Finance processes with the aim of simplifying and streamlining current practises.
  • Working across all the Finance teams to find best fit solutions to issues and promoting One Team attitude.
  • Investigating new technical and software solutions available after switch to new IT platform later in the year.
  • Assist with developing a robust document management process in Finance and updating online resources with finalised process documents.
  • Providing support and training to wider team as and when required.

Profile
  • Minimum AAT / part qualified accountant
  • Experience of taking accounts to trial balance and familiar with management accounts (Full P&L, balance sheet & cash flow)
  • Very strong excel skills, comfortable with macro's & VBA programming, and complex formula within excel; indirect, index match, lookups & pivots etc
  • Experience of designing and implementing excel solutions from a set of requirements
  • Strong general IT skills, comfortable with learning new systems
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable
  • Good time management skills
  • Experience of working with and prioritising concurrent requests
  • Willing to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements
  • Experience of working within a team/office environment
  • Evidence of working autonomously / can manage own workload
