Our client, based in Retreat, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing, dynamic team.
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Financial:
- Management account preparations
- Management Account consolidations (as a backup)
- Prepare annual budgets
- Prepare holding company templates
- Be an integral part of the audit process - assist auditors and finance team with the audit
- Draft Financials (as a backup)
- Project Management - various accounting projects, due diligence projects
Prepare the monthly accounts including the following:
- Ensure that all invoicing has been done
- Ensure that costs are accounted for and if not do the necessary accruals
- Post all standard journals
- Analyse gross margin to ensure accuracy
- Print and complete month end files
- Complete Business Unit financial packs
- Variance analysis and explanations
- Analyse expenses to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Follow up and resolve queries on the accounts
- Work with the Business Unit manager in ensuring accurate figures
- Attend monthly Business Unit meetings
- Assist with forecasting of the business units
- Bank releasing
Operational:
- Help with tender submissions - pricing/economic modeling
- Assist BU Head with strategy
- Contract review
- Contractual issues/partner discussions
Qaulifications/Experience required:
- CA (SA) qualification with 1-2 years post articles experience
- Newly qualified CA (SA) candidates will also be considered
- Excellent Excel skills
