VAT Manager - Advisory - 12 month contract

We have an exciting fixed term contract opportunity for a qualified (ideally ATT/CTA and/or ACA) VAT Manager who will report directly to our UK Indirect Tax Director.

In this role you will need to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of European VAT, be a qualified accountant/tax professional with VAT PQE and have experience in dealing with medium to large groups, both in the UK and internationally

Description

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Providing VAT advisory support on both UK and EMEA projects, including for example corporate restructuring

• Providing technical and other support in respect of European VAT compliance matters including any dealings with tax authorities

• Providing advice in respect of VAT liabilities of supplies and reviewing associated agreements

• Providing advice in respect third party contracts and new product developments, considering tax clauses and risks

• Assist with the resolution of EMEA VAT audits as necessary

• Working with and building relationships with multiple business stakeholders, e.g. Tax, Controllership, Treasury, Legal Office, Procurement and Business Finance colleagues around the world

Profile

Qualifications :

• Proven track record in providing commercially focused Indirect Tax advice across EMEA

• Strong experience in dealing with European VAT issues

• A self-starter and strong team player, you'll bring with you strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence and manage both internal and external stakeholders

• Good knowledge/proficiency at MS Office applications and accounting systems ideally Oracle/Essbase etc

• Capable of operating within a team environment, whilst fulfilling on goals they are individually accountable for

• Ideally Tax qualified: ATT/CTA and/or ACA
