The Role
Reporting to the Board, the CFO will provide strategic and financial leadership and direct the company's financial activities; develop and implement necessary strategies and plans to strengthen business performance and deliver outstanding results.
Other key accountabilities are to:
* Manage the financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, taxes, cash flow, treasury operations liquidity and the investment portfolio, ensuring the quality and integrity of financial reporting to IFRS standards.
* Provide insightful perspective and guidance to the Board and the effect of variables on operational efficiency and business performance.
* Engage, lead and develop the accounting team, to build a sound infrastructure of support.
Profile
* ACCA/CPA designation with at least 7 years in senior management.
* A compelling record of driving business growth in a similar position preferably gained in retail and distribution.
* Strong auditing background.
* Proven experience in inventory management.
* Team building skills that promote collaboration around excellence to deliver consistent outstanding results.
* Knowledge of the US taxation system would be an advantage.
* Detail-conscious, with proven capabilities in governance, financial and risk management.
* Strong demonstrated working capital, cash flow, treasury and liquidity management expertise.
* A strategic thinker, responsive and technically sound, comfortable interacting at all levels, and with the self-assurance to gain the confidence of the Board.
