Data Controller

Role Description: The Data controller will report to the Cost Accountant while working closely with the Production, Supply Chain & Technical teams. The primary responsibility will be preparing, gathering and reporting of daily production. The successful candidate will be working in our Low Risk department. Hours of work will be from 6.00am until 3.00pm, with the occasional requirement of weekend work. Purpose of the Role: To manage the day to day data capture. To ensure the accuracy and timely reporting of the data.  To collate and verify this data from both a Yield and Mass balance perspective. Responsibilities: To track the process yields for all logs / Bulk Ham. Review and trace any variances Compile a variance report and root cause analysis. Track the slicing yield of all production logs. Compile all data gathered relating to packaging usage and compare these against budgeted figures. To complete a mass balance of all Packaging, Ingredients and Meat products in the agreed time frame and frequency and report this information To work in conjunction with production management to ensure that all staff responsible for recording data are correctly trained. To engage in continuous improvement activities working with project teams. To liaise with maintenance and develop downtime reports Skills / Attributes Required Highly analytical & organised Excellent attention to detail Good understanding of Production Processes IT Skills: Excel - high level of competency essential Access - desirable but not essential ERP experience - desirable but not essential An ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
