An opportunity has arisen within one of our highly accomadating and growing clients based in Romford for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team of 4.

Client Details

A utilities provider are currently recruiting an Accounts receivable team member to join their vibrant, friendly finance department. Reporting into the transactional finance manager and liaising with the Credit Control team leader.

Description

  • Monitoring the bank account on a daily basis and checking payments received
  • Entering payments received (i.e. bank transfer, cash & cheque) on to system on daily basis
  • Reconciling Customer Accounts against payments received
  • Raising invoices and emailing to customers
  • Chasing outstanding payment on invoices
  • Liaising with Productions Directors to make sure they are aware of outstanding payments and of any problems
  • Raising necessary legal paperwork for outstanding invoices (i.e. Money Claim @ County Court) to recover debt Handling customer queries
  • Issuing credit notes for deposits held against productions and arranging payment back to their account
  • Managing the Deposits schedule and reconciliations

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Sound basic understanding of accounting techniques/principles/practice
  • Strong Accounts Receivable experience is essential
  • Motivated and confident individual who can communicate well at all levels
  • ACCA studier/CIMA studier/AAT-finalist preferably
  • Strong organisational skills & attention to detail
