A role of the External Reporting Manager has been created in the local office of Viacom (brands MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy, Paramount Channel) to support reporting requirements. The position is primarily focused on supporting external reporting requirements to the Board of Directors including but not limited to standalone budgets, updated forecasts and reporting actuals for the JV, preparing investors pack and information for the board meeting, producing BS forecasts, detailed cash flow forecasts and dividends forecasts.

We are looking for someone with deep knowledge of the full set of accounts (P&L, BS, Cash flow and Equity), who is able to do Balance Sheet and Cash flow forecasting, understands dividends model. Person, who has previously worked in IFRS or GAAP reporting, ideally has done consolidation and prepared a full set of reports (even if this was for a small company). Tax planning experience is also an advantage.


Quarterly and annual reporting:

  • Support Russian accounting team in closing the books and insure quarterly accounts are complete
  • Insure Russian GAAP is reconciled to US GAAP
  • Check correctness of the costs between P&L lines, departments, brands, check correctness of the allocation of the shared costs
  • Provide accruals to the Russian accounting team
  • Verify correctness of calculations for the intercompany agreements
  • Compile a full set of quarterly accounts: P&L, BS, Cash flow and Equity
  • Perform variance analysis to Budget and Updated Forecast
  • Prepare disclosures on other management information: breakdowns of revenues and costs
  • Prepare presentation for the Board of Directors

Budgeting and forecasting:

  • Consolidate annual budget (P&L) for the 4 legal entities based on the information provided by FP&A team (financial planning and analysis)
  • Prepare Cash flow, Balance Sheet and dividends budget based on the P&L
  • Discuss budgets with the investors and make appropriate changes
  • Prepare budget presentations and disclosures


  • Monitor monthly results to insure quarter is closed within budget (P&L, cash flow, BS)
  • Update short term cash flow plans and monitor cash collection progress
  • Model the implications of the new business initiatives on the intercompany transactions and on the dividends, calculate NPV and propose new licensing models


  • Higher education in Economics/Finance/Accounting Required
  • ACCA or equivalent certificate
  • Fluent English
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance (Big-4 background is an advantage)
  • Experience in IFRS or US GAAP reporting required (full set of accounts including P&L, BS, Cash flow Equity)
  • Experience or understanding on how to Forecast balance sheet is essential
  • Knowledge of business valuation models, NPV concept at least on theoretical level is essential
  • Experience in tax planning is an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Deadline oriented
  • Self-starter able to work independently
  • Great attention to details and ability to do work of different levels (from routine work to the Board level)
