Excellent opportunity to join a market leading team within a global business.
Client Details
Global brand based in the Midlands.
Description
The role of Senior risk analyst is a high profile specialist purchasing role which requires stakeholder engagement at many levels within the business and within the external supply base. The role requires a high level of interaction internally, as well as continual flow of high level of communication with external parties.
The role is strategic and starts at the sourcing stage and continues through to supplier assessment, via regular credit rating and other reviews whilst parts are in production. The team also monitors a sub-set of suppliers, non- production and aftermarket. The key objective is to use triggers to proactively analyse the risks faced by suppliers based on their status (for example supplying run out models) or their location (for example based on current local economic conditions), and use that to minimise the risk of parts supply being disrupted by insolvency or other credit risks at first tier, second tier and below.
"At Risk" suppliers are identified and Buyers are engaged as and when necessary, with a monthly report-out also being scheduled. Pro-active business partnering ensures Buyers consider the appropriate actions required to mitigate the risk of disruption to the production line, and in the event of a supplier administration, technical advice is provided for whichever location that supplier is in.
