Our client is a retails and distribution company located in Dublin 12. They are seeking a strong Accounts Assistant to join their team.

You will support the Finance Director, based within a team of 3 managing the day to day finance activities inclusive of accounts payable, General Ledger postings and month end activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Management of Accounts Payable function

· Management of key supplier accounts and all queries

· Preparation of supplier payment runs

· Processing accruals and prepayments

· Credit control - cover when required

· Stock KPI reports

· Bank account reconciliations

· Weekly bank reconciliations

· Processing VIES and Intrastat returns

· Management of customer pricing files

· General Ledger postings for trial balance

· Assisting with month end reporting

· Other ad-hoc duties relevant to the position

Experience required

· Minimum of 2-4 years relevant accounting experience

· Relevant qualification is advantageous

· Strong Excel skills and ERP skills, Navision experience is advantageous but not essential

· Strong Organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines
