Accountant - Maitland, Cape Town
R30 000 - R40 000 Per Month (Depending on qualification and experience)
Exciting career opportunity exists within the established and reputable manufacturing firm for highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to form part of the dynamic Finance team.
One would describe you as a numerically inclined individual, one who has solid accounting, bookkeeping and problem solving skills. You are an analytical thinker, thorough, hands-on, client focused and results driven.
Key responsibilities:
Full accounting cycle to balance sheet including journals
Payroll experience on VIP
Compile VAT Returns/PAYE submissions and Payroll administration
Experience with statutory returns on E-Filling and Easyfile etc
Oversee Debtors and Creditors
Cashflow forecast
Assist with audits
Online banking payments
Balancing Petty Cash
General office duties
Update fixed asset register
Maintain Company Systems & Procedures and ISO
Qualifications and Experience
Financial Diploma or Degree advantageous (3 years or more)
5-8 years proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant with knowledge of imports (documentation and payments specifically)
Experience gained within the manufacturing industry will be highly advantageous!
Proven and solid MS Excel skills and fluency on Syspro
Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving and communications skills
Good planning and organizational skills with proven leadership abilities
Must be able to multi task and work under pressure
Must be very good with Systems and Controls
Reliable, diligent and want to be part of a team
Own transport
