Your new role
As Payroll Officer you will manage the full payroll function reviewing and assessing the current processes used within the payroll department. You will be the first point of contact for employees, managers and HR on employment related administration that support the effective and efficient delivery of the payroll to ensure accurate employment records and payroll at all times. Job duties will include: prepare and process the payroll to ensure all staff are paid accurately and on time in accordance with UK legislation and their terms and conditions; processing timesheets; process all information in regards to starters, leavers, overtime, expenses; processing holiday / sick pay; maintain payroll processing system and records; complete all relevant submissions to HMRC; produce payroll reports; employee benefits and provide information to management as required.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience working in a busy payroll department
  • Excellent understanding of payroll processes
  • Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • IT proficient
  • Ability to lead and work on own initiative as well as part as a team.
