Finance Analyst, Global Vans: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

Vans is more than just any ordinary action sports footwear company. As a Finance Analyst, you will perform periodic financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in support of the Vans Global business and functions. You will analyze business reports, identify trends, and report on findings, including making recommendations to business partners. The role will interact regularly with all levels of personnel within Vans as well as partners across VF Finance.

How You Will Make a Difference:

1.Support global reporting processes by assisting with data pulls, model set–up/development, and variance analyses.

2.Work closely with business partners and finance leadership to create actionable and timely product level analytics to help drive informed decision making.

3.Develop monthly cost center forecasts and budget for global SG&A functions. Partner closely with leadership to highlight risks and opportunities and align on achievable and accurate forecasts/plans.

4.Partner with the accounting team on month–end close: review general ledger accounts, prepare reclass and accrual journal entries as necessary.

5.Work closely with the accounting and accounts payable team to address invoicing questions and issues.

7.Create ad–hoc analyses and financial models to support special project

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university


  • Proficient computer skills (Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with SAP and COGNOS a plus

  • Ability to communicate and partner with individuals across all levels of the business

  • Ability to make sound business decisions independently

  • Possess a natural sense of curiosity and willingness to ask questions and dig in

  • Ability to multi–task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast–paced environment

  • Ability to synthesize data and communicate a clear story to diverse audiences

  • Self–motivated with a positive attitude

    Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Willing and able to work additional hours when needed
