Candidate Profile:
Education:
Graduate level with finance / legal or other professional qualification is required
Past experience:
Minimum of 5 years in direct Banking/Securities Compliance/AML experience and preferably in a FI/Corporate banking environment regionally
Experience as a Compliance subject matter expert in regional/global projects
Hands on experience in Sanctions & Embargoes advisory is preferred
Languages:
Fluent in English & Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage, but not prerequisite

- Plan and execute the various transformation roadmaps according to the timelines
- Formulate methodology / approach and propose solutions to achieve deliverables required by the various transformation programs
- Active engagement with relevant stakeholders (such as businesses, support functions, KYC team) to manage expectations, assess impact, discuss and resolve gaps, monitor progress, and deliver action items
- Liaise with global teams to ensure consistency with planning and execution approach
- Coordinate, provide guidance and advice to the regional Compliance/FCU teams in Asia to ensure proper and timely execution of various transformation roadmaps
- Work with Project Managers to produce dashboards, management reports, meeting materials for various management meetings
- Timely escalation of potential issues / blocking points and propose viable solutions
- Work with the FCU teams in Asia and/or other relevant stakeholders to allow smooth transition of actions from transformation mode to production mode
- Keep abreast of financial crime related regulatory trends, market practices and standards.

- Delivery of regulatory commitments
The post holder is expected to be:
- A subject matter expert providing expert advice and solutions, with particular focus on Sanctions & Embargoes
- Working closely with other relevant stakeholders including but not limited to the Financial Crime Unit (FCU) of the FCC, Compliance teams (such as the COO team, Advisory, Control & Testing), Businesses and Operational Support teams.
