Client Details

A well established and recognisable brand within the Leisure and Sport sector is looking to grow the team with the addition of a Management Accountant - Fast Start. Located in Luton they are easily commutable for anyone local or able to commute from Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, MK or the surrounding area with parking on site.


The Key responsibilities for the role of Management Accountant - Fast Start are:

  • Producing detailed budgeting and forecasting reports from a variety of income streams
  • Maintaining and improving accounting operations and controls
  • Analysis and forecasting of budgets vs actuals
  • Working with other departments to provide KPI reports on a variety of in house function
  • Preparation of accounts to management level (Month End and Year End)
  • Analysis of Cash Flow alongside budget preparation
  • Marinating and filing up to date records of Debt Reporting and repayments
  • Responsibility of statutory reporting and contract administration
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Preparation of reporting and evaluation on existing assets and acquisitions
  • Detailed business analysis of subsidiaries by profit centres
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by Line Manager


The Successful candidate for the role of Management Accountant - Fast Start will be:

  • Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) ideally a finalist or QBE
  • Previous experience in a similar role - ideally within the Leisure and Sport industry
  • Proficiency in Excel is required - Financial Modelling skills required
  • Extensive knowledge of management accounts
  • Operational accounting knowledge
  • Proven track record of business partnering internally and externally
  • Strong Analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able to multi-task
  • Team Player
