Accountant
The incumbent will be responsible to assist the Accounting General Manager to review, plan and manage all accounting matters at business unit to ensure accurate records, timely reporting, profitability, growth and development needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts operation matters in compliance with accounting standards, relevant government rules and regulation, policies, procedures and established practices.
  • Manage month end closing and reporting process for the business to ensure timely and quality reporting of monthly financials.
  • Preparation and submission of financial statement, management and any other financial and statutory reports to HQ, ensuring timely submission and compliance with relevant governing rules, standards and requirements.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Assist in business unit annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Manage and handle taxation matters relating to computation of taxes and preparation of tax returns.
  • Coordinate, liaise and communicate with internal and external auditors on audit activities, and follow up to address the audit findings.
  • Assist and work closely with all departments on operational and accounting related matters and technical advisory.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements:
  • Possess at least Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field at a minimum. MBA or recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience as an Accountant in a Manufacturing work environment.
  • Solid technical communication skills (oral and written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Possess strong knowledge of accounting regulations, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiar with accounting software (example Navision, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle etc). Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups and pivot tables. Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong business acumen and keep up to date of current market trends/events and key competitors.
  • Demonstrated track record of attention to detail, analytical thinking and crisis management in a fast-paced and oftentimes ambiguous work environment.
  • Proven ability to foster close business partnering relationships and work collaboratively at all levels and cross functionally.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Hutan Melintang, Perak.
