Senior Financial Accountant - Regulatory Reporting
- Permanent position in renowned ASX Global Insurance Business

The Role:
A very exciting opportunity has been made available for a technically strong financial accountant to take responsibility for Regulatory returns and meeting all regulatory reporting requirements (Australian, New Zealand and European) in an accurate and timely manner. You will be joining a high performing and supportive team in an organization going through an exciting time of change and growth. The insurance business is renowned for its great team culture, with the opportunity for progression and development in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Groups management and Supporting APRA onsite prudential reviews.
- Conducting quarterly analysis on industry competitors & drawing relevant insights
- Responsible for Standard & Poor's capital reporting
- Responsible for conducting the interim dividend estimation process
- Understanding & remaining up to date on all regulatory and accounting standards changes including reporting & presenting standards
- Providing insight for change management and continuous improvement processes that excel both individual growth as well as group growth.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA Qualified
- 3 + years' experience in insurance APRA regulatory reporting (general insurance industry experience is essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of AASB17, IFRS & APRA reporting standards within the insurance industry necessary
- Strong understanding of risks impacting financial reporting and the broader business.
- Strong stakeholder management & ability to collaborate and work strongly in a team environment
- Exceptional time management and prioritising skills, displaying a strong ability to meet tight and competing deadlines whilst working in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Strategic thinker with strong evidence of adding commercial value to the business
