Working for a leading vehicle manufacturer in their UK finance team. The role covers all financial aspects from day to day accounting through to commercial decision support and long term planning.

This role is the business partner for the motorcycle and ATV (all-terrain vehicle) operation, where the company are the UK market leader.
Description
This is a business partnering role which will provide financial understanding and cost/profitability detail for the company's UK Motorcycle operation, a £100m turnover business, indicating improvements and conducting root cause analysis where required. It will provide professional insight and support of the financial impacts of all commercial business decisions taken by the Business for the following:
- Sales/Production and new model lauch planning
- Promotional Campaign planning
- Pricing planning
- Profitability and KPI measurement
- SGA understanding, commercial reasoning behind spend
This role will take ownership of the Actual results and Budget and planning process for UK Motorcycles submissions; delivering accurate monthly P&L's for the UK Motorcycle business as well as submission to the European group, analysing variances against budget including:
- Accounting of all gross profit expenditure, taking ownership of the accuracy of the monthly actual, whilst managing the Balance Sheet
- Coordinate & prepare quarterly budgets & longer term plans.
It is expected that the incumbent drive best practice, efficiencies, change and strategy, and play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function. The Finance Manager will be the key financial link between the UK motorcycles and European business planning and finance teams, working closely with other members of finance in Europe, especially those within the UK HQ.
Profile
Applicants should be qualified Accountants, who are both commercially and technically competent, with a well-rounded understanding of business in general. A passion for working in the motor industry would be desirable, as this is a commercial role partnering with the business. We are looking for someone who is able to bridge the finance/non finance gap. This role will play an active role within the UK team whilst operating as the sole business partner for the Motorcycle business, so we are ideally looking for previous relationship management experience.
Job Offer
£44-49,000 salary depending on experience. Up to two company cars are available for a partial monthly contribution. Generous pension scheme, private health and additional benefits are also on offer.
