Page Personnel Finance are recruiting for a Cashier for our client, a leading retail company located in London's West End.
Client Details
Our client is a leading retail company located in London's West End, a short walk from Oxford Circus tube station. Due to a restructure in their accountancy division, an opportunity has arisen for a Cashier to join their team.
Description
Located in London's West End, our client is looking for a Cashier with responsibility for the following duties:
Open Cash Office and distribute cash bags.
Check and reconcile daily banking
Prepare monies in a timely fashion for collection.
Correct till errors
Check that all tills are live on the system and prepare a daily report for IT department.
Prepare a daily report for Sales Managers outlining procedural errors.
Control change floats, issue change and ensure we have enough stock for shop floor needs.
Control and issue gift vouchers and coins, inform the manager/supervisor of any discrepancies. Liase with Customer Services and other relevant departments to ensure adequate supply levels.
Liaise with Security regarding till discrepancies.
Accurately complete Daily Sales Book
Issue petty cash and check that returned expenses are completed with correct nominal codes.
Order Buying Managers' currency and check trip forms are completed correctly and all monies accounted for.
Prepare end of month figures in a timely fashion
Recover credit card chargeback's
Ensure all requests for information are dealt with accurately and within the deadlines given
Provide assistance to the sales floor with regard to procedure
File records as necessary
Prepare list of outstanding wage advances for payroll
Profile
The ideal candidate will have worked in a Finance position previously - this could be Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, but Cashier experience would be advantageous.
This role will involve some occasional and non-negotiable weekend work so candidates who apply MUST be comfortable and happy with this
