Easton Diamond Sports, LLC is a leading developer and manufacturer of baseball and softball bats, batting and fielding gloves, apparel, bags, helmets, catcher's protective equipment, and related accessories in the U.S. and Canada. Easton is recognized as one of the most reliable and most innovative brands in baseball and softball. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate budgets/forecasts and actionable business and financial insights to increase sales and profitability for the Easton Baseball/Softball business. The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for proactively delivering best–in–class analysis to enable fact–based decision–making. As a key contributor to the business, the Senior Financial Analyst is expected to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the function to deliver efficient and effective work processes. Essential Job Functions Develop and execute annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long–range strategic plans for the Easton Baseball/Softball business Manage SG&A expense and capital spending; develop monthly reporting and regularly meet with department leaders to review actual versus forecast results, identify risks and opportunities, and provide financial feedback Manage the inbound freight forecast, factory forecasts, and 3rd party factory costing process to ensure costs are properly managed and controlled Prepare and issue monthly/quarterly financial reports and narratives, including commentary on risks & opportunities and recommended solutions Interface with the Accounting & Credit & Collections teams to ensure that accounting standards, business policies and internal control requirements are met; regularly analyze reserve balances, including inventory/warranty/bad debt reserves to ensure financial liabilities are properly reported Periodically evaluate the efficiency of financial systems and work processes to achieve accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis in order to meet the needs of the company Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and 3–5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience budgeting/forecasting and completing financial analysis, preferably in the consumer products or manufacturing industry Working knowledge of general accounting concepts (GAAP and/or IFRS) and the ability to understand the linkages between business operations and the financial statements Experience using financial reporting systems (e.g., BPC, SAP BW) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) along with advanced capability in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to act as an agent of change (questioning/rethinking processes, identifying opportunities to streamline activities) Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills Strong analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and problem–solving skills Experience collaborating with a multifunctional business team and serving as the key financial resource for business partners Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail Exercise high degree of professionalism and confidentiality Interested yet?
