Engineer - Chapter Lead
Our purpose? To deliver leading Fraud, Financial Crime and Retail Decisioning and Collections enterprise services, which support our customers in Australia and Institutional Divisions and which enable ANZ to meet its customer, risk, regulatory and compliance obligations.
As an Engineer Chapter Lead you will design, build and unit-test code and be leading of engineers. You will collaborate closely with an Analyst to understand the requirements and to ensure the delivery of work meets customer expectations.

What you will bring to Retail Decisioning as an Engineer Chapter Lead?
- Experience in managing teams directly
- Lead by example towards delivery best practices
- Experience in K8s, pipelines, CM
- Experience working with operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable applications
- Understand customer needs to make sound judgments
- Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality applications that delight customers
- Have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the Tech Area
- Experience in solving application level design problems that result in robust systems
- Experience in JSON, groovy/python/java
- Understanding of the integration patterns WebServices, Rest/XML, MQ, Messaging
- Understanding of XML, XSD, WSDL, SQL
- Mixture of functional and technical skills where requirements can be driven/reviewed with stakeholders
- Troubleshooting skills related to following Java frameworks, Logback, Jetty, groovy, Camel
- Ability to triage and diagnose defects/issues across the full stack
You might also have the following specialised skills:
- Knowledge of Spring, OSGI, Jboss and Hibernate
- Knowledge of Originations Systems mainly Credit Risk Management
- DBA skills
