Finance Manager

Cambridge, United Kingdom - Our client, a well renowned local business is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Financial Controller and as manager of the Finance Operational Team, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for all financial record-keeping, core finance processing and group tax and compliance activities ensuring Group practices are consistently operationally excellent. In doing so, you will maintain the Group accounts and deliver management accounts of the highest standards to ensure Group decision making processes are supported by accurate, relevant and timely financial data. As Finance Manager you will be responsible for Group accounting and finance systems and will ensure the financial records of the Group and it's subsidiaries are maintained to highest standards of accounting and statutory compliance. The role is responsible for the monthly management accounts, payroll, annual accounts, tax, R&D computations and all the supporting systems, internal controls and processes that contribute towards their safe and timely completion. You will take responsibility for the coordination and completion of all accounting and compliance routines and understand and plan the team's routine tasks and take responsibility of quality control and technical checking. Working alongside the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will support the Group with effective liquidity management and ensure working capital requirements are met and foreign exchange and counterparty risk is adequately managed. You will also help to create, lead and delivery the FinOps strategy and manage the impact and transition of that strategy on the team through strong project management and leadership and proactively engage with other changes being made in the Group and manage the impact of this on the finance function accordingly. The successful candidate will be qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and will have previous experience within a similar role in industry and commerce and a track record of team management.
