Financial Accounting Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendation to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, implementing change.
2. Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
3. Maintains accounting controls by establishing/ reconciling a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
4. Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
5. Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures, in areas of taxation, customs, accounting compliances.
6. Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
7. Accomplishes accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling employees, and enforcing policies and procedures.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Manage Financial Accounting – General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
2. Manage Treasury and working capital
3. Manage all corporate insurance coverages
4. Tax and legal compliance
5. Support to Customs compliance that has financial impact

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education

• University graduate with Major in Accounting
• Possesses current Vietnam Chief Accountant Certificate

       2. Experience

• At least 10 years of financial accounting experience
• With 3 years in Financial Accounting Manager role
• Other related experience

       3. Knowledge of:

• Vietnam Accounting Systems (VAS)
• IFRS or USGAAP knowledge is an advantage

        4. Skills and Abilities

• Ability to manage large volume of financial data, Advance Excel skills, ERP skills
• Ability to work with teams, business orientated, self-motivated, work under pressure 
• Strong command of English language
