Financial Accountant within the Finance team, managing statutory accounts and audit, taxation, treasury and investment, internal audit and financial control, alongside financial support for business development and the wider organisation

Description
Coordinate and manage the annual statutory accounts including the consolidation of accounts
Main contact for external auditors
Assess the tax implications of new activities and ensure tax compliance across the organisation.
Oversee production and submission of VAT returns. Ensure that corporation tax returns are completed in line with statutory deadlines.
Oversee Treasury Management
Key member of finance team in developing, maintaining and operating various levels of process and transactional internal controls.
Work with Legal and Governance to ensure and promote compliance with the Procurement Policy across the organisation.
Undertake internal audit work as agreed with the Assistant Director of Finance and implement identified improvements.
Assist the Assistant Director of Finance with updating and publishing financial policies and procedures
Profile
Knowledge/experience of charity or not-for-profit organisations
Qualified Accountant
VAT knowledge
Strong Excel
