Prestigious Bank requires a proactive Finance Systems Manager from a banking or Financial Services environment to join their team to support end to end production processes of Finance systems including GL, data warehouses, reporting tools, hierarchy management, databases (SQL/MS Access), planning / forecasting, interfaces, reconciliation tools

The Main duties of the role

• Ensure system SLAs are monitored and raise tickets with breaks, follow-up for resolution, communicate with users as required and maintain KPI statistics.
• Provide to input to projects, including Finance, to ensure appropriate SME is given to get the right business outcomes.
• Continually consider ongoing continuous improvement, taking the opportunity to make improvements which reduce time and improve SLAs.
• Contribute in managing IT and vendor support ensuring all relevant support issues are raised and followed up.
• Train users in systems; includes updating intranet documentation and providing regular face to face training.
• Set-up system user access by granting privileges and removing access when staff leave or transfer to ensure no unauthorized access.

To be Successful in this role

• You'll need 2+ years experience in similar Finance Systems role and ideally have a finance/commerce qualification.
• Understanding of banking processes, systems and users.
• Practical experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Data warehousing experience at least five years, preference Teradata
• Advanced SQL skills
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Access & MS Excel
• Ideally suits someone with a business background who has a strong systems biased/interest
• However, someone with a Technology background who has empathy & / or some experience with business processes & outcomes are most welcome to apply
• As well a knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, namely Cognos & TM1
