My client is a global entity and a household name in their chosen field, you will aid the Liverpool SSC and a team of Junior Associates in this fantastic role of Associate Accountant.

My client is part of a global group with turnover in excess of £6bn and 50,000 employees, you will play an integral part of their SSC function overseeing their Bookkeeping and AP functions with a team of 6-8 employees.

Description

This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will:

* Support teams with advanced bookkeeping, accounts payable and processes and review and management of these processes.
* Support teams with review of management accounts and VAT return preparation
* Support, coach, train and manage junior members of the team
* Manage team and make sure load is managed efficiently and effectively
* Manage people performance; conduct monthly performance reviews, annual performance appraisals, performance management plans and assist with objective setting
* Work with Microsoft excel and various desktop and cloud accounting packages
* Provide support and assistance to other teams during their busy periods

Profile

This Associate Accountant will be;

Proven experience in a similar role and experience with people and performance management
* Good stakeholder management skills
* Experience in using desktop and/or cloud accounting packages
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Professional level of communication - both verbal and written
* Good time management, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise/complete tasks
* Ability to work well in a team environment
