My client seeks an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy team based in Rustington, West Sussex and are offering a salary of up to £30,000 plus a Pension, 25 days holiday and Private Medical Insurance.
As an Assistant Management Accountant you will work closely with the Head of Finance within a small accounts department, providing accurate and relevant financial analysis.
On a day to day basis your tasks will include:-

As an Assistant Management Accountant you will work closely with the Head of Finance within a small accounts department, providing accurate and relevant financial analysis.
On a day to day basis your tasks will include:-
- Oversee the Purchase Ledger function of SD.
- Project reporting.
- To assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts.
- Preparation of monthly departmental Accounts with variance analysis.
- Reconcile relevant balance sheet Accounts relating to sales and purchasing on a monthly basis.
- To assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management pack and all associated schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly payroll.
- Undertake project related analysis work across all areas of the business.
- Assist in preparation of year-end audit schedules and liaise with auditors in relevant areas such as inventory.
- Cash flow reporting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- Proven experience in the preparation of Management Accounts.
- Experience of managing junior team members.
- Knowledge of SAP Business One an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing or similar industry would be preferred but is not essential
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good time-management skills (esp. organisation, prioritisation).
- Ability to set and work to tight deadlines, meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
