Financial Accountant Responsible to: Financial Controller Liaison with: All Departments Main tasks of Job Preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flows, variance analyses and commentaries. Analysing financial information using advanced features of MS Excel. Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where appropriate. Management and administration of the company's fleet of contract hire motor vehicles. Working closely with the Financial Controller to prepare annual budgets, forecasts and miscellaneous accounting information and data, as required from time to time. Assist with the audit preparation work, including preparation of supporting schedules and liaison with external auditors to allow for timely completion of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns. Ensuring discretionary expenditure is kept in line with the budget, including the ongoing monitoring of staff expenses, travel and subsistence. Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations. Manage capital expenditure and fixed asset register. Preparation of R&D grant claims and tax credits computations, including the documentation and monitoring of staff timesheets. The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed. Employee Specification Essential • Qualified Accountant (CAI/ACA/ACCA), 1+ years post qualification experience • Focus, adaptability, determination and flexibility • Computer literate with excellent experience of accounting software packages, spreadsheets and databases • Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines • Strong written and oral communication skills • Extensive accounts preparation and/or statutory audit experience • Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data to meet reporting requirements • Knowledge of VAT and Corporation Tax legislation Desirable • Accounting experience working in a software and IT Services environment • Experience working with an ERP Finance package such as SAP or Oracle • Knowledge of UK GAAP reporting • Experience in dealing with Private Equity Investors and complex Financial Models • Experience in writing financial reports, e.g. Due Diligence, Business Plan, Business Appraisals Totalmobile is an Equal Opportunity Employer To apply please submit your CV to arrive no later than Monday 8th of May at noon.
