Group Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Group Accountant to come and work at a nationally recognised and industry leading client with a global footprint.

The role will rely on the technical abilities of the individual but will also play very much on that relationship building skills with non-finance individuals in the Cambridge team.

Our client is expanding rapidly and surpassing performance expectations. The Group Accountant role reports into an incredibly astute and highly respected Group FC who is as excited about getting the right individual on board and having future aspirations of becoming an FC within their business.

Description

The hope is that the right person will take ownership of this Group Accountant role, reshape it, challenge the format of the role and move up the career ladder.

You will be responsible for:

- Month end reporting

- Year end

- Budgets & Forecasts

- Variance Analysis

- Group Consolidations

- Project work

There is clearly a remit of this role that forms the essential day to day tasks but the excitement and the opportunity sits within how this role develops over the next 12 months.

Profile

The candidate be qualified and technically strong within IFRS. Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous.

You need to be strong inter-personally in order to build and develop relationships with non-finance and ensure the goals of the finance team are met.

Of key importance to the Group FC is that this individual will come with ideas and the enthusiasm to be part of a growing and fast moving team.
