Description

As the Group Financial Controller reporting directly to the CFO, this will be a highly visible role with considerable breadth. Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

Financial reporting - Monthly management accounts, management reporting, consolidation statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
Financial planning and analysis - Coordination of reporting and analysis across the group's division on a consistent and aligned basis
Financial controls - To continually review and improve internal controls, focusing on streamlining and simplification
Management of the finance team
Treasury, banking and tax

Profile

For this Group Financial Controller opportunity in Oxfordshire, successful candidates will have/be:

A fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred), most likely with a Big 4 or Top 10 background and with significant post qualification experience
Ideal for an experienced Audit Senior Manager or Director considering a first move, or a second time mover
Experience of working with or at listed companies
Expert financial accountant under both IFRS and UK GAAP and a strong internal controls background
Consolidations and preparation of UK listed financial accounts
Very familiar with UK audit procedures
Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry sector experience preferred but not essential
Track record of managing a team
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Prior tax and treasury experience desirable but not essential
