This rapidly growing organisation based in Wigan are looking to recruit an ambitious and commercially minded Management Accountant who is looking for a move into a Commercial Finance Business Partner role.
Working in a role that will constantly change and evolve over time, reporting to an FP&A Manager who is committed to developing you long term, your core duties will include:
- Flash, budget, forecast, modelling & reporting
- Work with the Financial & Operational managers to produce annual financial budgets, regular forecasting and scenario planning
- Work with the Commercial Finance team, managing the weekly reporting process from operational teams
- Regular budget review and re-forecasts
- Develop and measure business relevant KPIs
- Perform trend and variance analysis on flash, budget, actual and forecast results, preparing explanations and identifying areas for profitability enhancement
- Month end duties, including identifying month end adjustments & providing feedback into flash report
- Ad hoc assistance to the management accounting team
- Production of bench-marking reports comparing performance, highlighting and investigating operational performance issues
- Ad hoc modelling projects to support business case propositions or change management projects, to ensure the business is making accurate and informed decisions
Key requirements:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Advanced excel skills are absolutely essential
- Previous experience in a commercially focused Commercial Accountant, Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner role
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate data
- Ability to build relationships with all levels of the operational team including General Managers
- Concise and clear presentation style in order to present financial data, especially to operational management
- Able to cope effectively with large amounts of fast-paced change
