Scope of Role:
- Partner with Business units and assist them with financial reporting & analysis
- Analyze the key revenue/cost drivers of business portfolio and product profitability. Highlight financial risks and opportunities for management review
- Support management by providing relevant financial information for decision making
- Lead in financial forecasting and budgeting
- Establish appropriate controls in financial and management reporting and ensure that the reports are prepared accurately and submitted timely
- Ensure that Group Policies are complied with in Retail Business Finance
- Supervise production of financial MIS including actual results, budget and forecast
- Lead in monthly flash, forecast and annual budget process
- Coordinate with business units to ensure data used and analysis produced are reasonable and accurate
- Provide support to business units on all finance-related area
- Perform sensitivity analysis and trend analysis to identify risks & opportunities in order to enable business decision making
- Review PED to ensure bank policies are followed, calculation of financials is accurate and supported by relevant documentation
- Work with Country Finance and Group and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting of MIS and resolve any irregularities in report production
- Support Head of Retail Business finance in compliance & risk management, including the designing and implementation of control measures and monitoring of such controls
- Provide adequate coaching to subordinates
- Compliance & risk management:
- Work as a team to drive and support the identification and management of operational risks on a daily basis and a source of reference with the Business Unit in facilitating and promoting the understanding of OR and compliance requirements and issues
- Ensure that policies are implemented affectively with the Business Unit, new regulations are properly communicated, and provide quality assurance on the design of the control measures and monitoring plans. Coordinate, analyze and consolidate OR and loss reporting to the Business Unit head and relevant OR forums
- Design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk management
- Ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting of risk
- Ensure sufficient actions are undertaken to mitigate, reduce or contain the identified operational risks
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance, minimum 10yrs experience in Finance or Business planning, knowledge of Retail Banking is preferred.
- Good at stakeholder communication and staff management, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent PowerPoint & Excel skills with logical thinking
- Able to cope with ad hoc request and can work under pressure.,
- Eyes to details, dedicated and methodical, highly analytical mind set
- Good command of Chinese and English in both written and oral.
