Description

Key responsiblities of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Raising purhcase orders
  • Process purchase invoices & follow up on them
  • Payment run preparation
  • Staff expenses- check and prepare for payment run
  • Petty cash
  • Scan and send out invoices
  • Deal with customer queries regarding invoices, general payments
  • Calling customers to chase overdues and ensuring all information is up to date
  • Letters for overdue balances/final reminders/7 day letters
  • Run aged debtors and creditors reports
  • Update debtors spreadsheet
  • Reps aged debtor reports
  • Running and sending out customer statements
  • All round duties regarding Payroll

    The successful canidate:

    • Previous experience of working in a Finance Department
    • IT Literate
    • Strong Excel skills
    • AAT Studier
    • Accuracy, with attention to detail
    • Confidentiality of information
    • Tactful, with ability to deal with difficult situations
    • Good understanding of Payroll
