Transport and rail business in the Milton Keynes looking for an experienced Accounts Payable manager to join the team. The role will be responsible for a large team across a number of UK and European entities, with an additional focus on P2P implementation.

Description
Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage efficient processing of high volumes of supplier invoices and payments in different currencies
- Close management of the P2P functions
- Timely and accurate processing of all domestic and international supplier payments and employee expenses
- Lead, mentor and supervise a small team
- Play a pivotal role in supervising OCR implementation across the AP function
- Act as main point of contact for all escalated queries, resolve issues promptly and with professionalism
- Identify and embed improvement to month end processes, creating and sharing KPIs to report on accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure the AP ledger is tidy at all times and proactively investigate outstanding items
- Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the AP ledger
- Ensure all supplier accounts are reconciled quarterly
- Develop, implement and maintain appropriate controls over AP function
- Implement best practices within the department
Profile
Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience managing an AP function in a multi-currency environment
- A desire to provide excellent client service to our internal teams
- Ability to manage team (including their development)
- Experience within high invoice/supplier volume business
- Strong numeracy skills and a logical approach to financial tasks
- Good at managing heavy workloads
- Able to think independently and make change
