Page Personnel are working with a dynamic, growing business in Darwen, recruiting a Cost Accountant to join their team.
Client Details
A well established business, going through a period of growth, are recruiting a Cost Accountant to join their finance team.
Description
As a Cost Accountant, you will report into the Finance Manager, responsible for providing accurate and insightful business analysis to aid decision making.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: prepare monthly management accounts; maintain the fixed asset register; assist in preparation of VAT returns; ensuring all costs are captures and head meeting with various stakeholders to effectively manage costs; monthly cost analysis; budgeting & forecasting; monthly WIP and inventory valuation; reconciliations; maintain a standard costing system; review customer profitability; monitor analysis and report on the impact of price and cost changes; challenge costings.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be studying towards ACCA/CIMA - Or have equivalent experience - Essential
- Have knowledge of working in a manufacturing role - Essential
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Essential
- Have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel - Essential
