Client Details
Our client is a diverse global business which delivers award-winning construction, development and regeneration projects and is looking for a senior Financial Accountant.
Description
The role of senior Financial Accountant is to support all General Ledger functions and the team itself. They will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly reporting packs and budgets to shareholders and lenders.
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to manage relationships with board members and shareholders including preparing and presenting financial results at Board Meetings.
- Lead and manage the preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax computations.
- Manage the preparation of reports including updates to financial and operational models.
- Ensure that contract and statutory obligations are met for each company.
- Administer the financing agreements including credit, accounts, security, investment and forecasting agreements.
- Develop and maintain a financial governance plan with the head of management to ensure the company is compliant with its contractual requirements and obligations.
- Develop, monitor and improve financial systems and procedures
- Develop, manage and improve controls and internal audit processes.
- Ad hoc projects related to the optimisation of financial performance.
Profile
- The successful individual will be a qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) finance professional with either practice experience and/or from a construction background.
- They will have experience of preparing prompt and accurate statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
- They will be a self-motivated, highly organised and adaptive individual with a positive attitude.
- They will have excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- They will have a competent understanding of Microsoft Excel programmes.
- They will have previous experience of working in a busy or challenging environment.
- SAP and IFRS experience is desirable for not essential.
