I am recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a fast growing start up based in the City of London close to Old Street Roundabout.

Client Details
My client is one of the fastest growing tech start ups and innovators in AI and Human Intelligence.
Due to continued projected growth they would like to hire an Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months.
This will be based in the City of London, close to Old Street station.

Accounts Assistant, City of London
Roles and Duties
- Running the day-to-day business accounting with support from the FD.
- Working with our offshore team to ensure that basic financial processes are running efficiently and help troubleshoot any issues.
- Managing day-to-day cash flow through preparing, sending and chasing customer invoices and paying supplier invoices.
- Supporting the business' monthly reporting providing value-add analysis on financials and KPIs as part of our management and investor reporting.
- Reviewing costs and expenses within the business to identify overspends and minimise costs where possible.
- Running the payroll process with support from our external payroll provider. Liaise on tax and other payroll issues and act as a primary contact for the business employees.
- Working with our external accountant on filings for Companies House, HMRC and working with our foreign accounting support for international filings and requirements.
- Generally supporting the business with financial administration. Helping one of the UK's top start-ups to grow quickly.
Profile
- Keen to study an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAS), possibly with exemptions from your university degree.
- Some basic accounting knowledge from your degree - knowing your debits and credits!
- BSc degree in a quantitative discipline from a strong university
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). GSuite skills (Sheets, Docs, Slides) a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management abilities
Job Offer
The candidate will be paid £10-12 per hour.
