Description
The Financial Controller opportunity shall suit a commercially astute and ambitious individual who will be keen to play a key part of a dynamic and result driven organisation. The Financial Controller will support the Finance Director and will initially be responsible for a small finance team of 2 direct reports, potentially rising to 4 direct reports as the business evolves.
The Financial Controller will take full responsibility for the day to day management of the finance function including:
- All aspects of accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, N/L and banking
- Overseeing the Financial and Management reporting (daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis)
- Statutory reporting and regulatory compliance, including taxation
- Financial planning and analysis (budget and forecast).
- Budgetary control (P&L and working capital management) and efficiency generating initiatives
- Management and training of the finance personnel
- Development of the finance function's processes and internal controls
- Analytical support for the relevant departments
- Relationship management with service providers
Profile
The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with the following attributes:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA with
- Ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- High achiever (strong intellect, superior work-ethic and drive to succeed)
The following experience is highly desirable:
- System, process and operational change management within a growing organisation
You will be a qualified accountant with demonstrable commercial focus, strong influencing and communication skills and you will be experienced in leading a team, coaching and training them as required. You will have a thorough knowledge of technical financial and management reporting. In fitting with the values of the organisation, you will be a proactive and hard-working individual who is eager to make improvements, take ownership and help in effective execution of deliverables .
