Management Accountant

Michael Page have partnered exclusively with a software SME based in Cirencester to appoint a Management Accountant to lead the finance function for a £10mill t/o business.

Client Details

A circa £10mill t/o international software SME with a market leading product, part of a larger international group that is headquartered in the US. A close knit office in Cirencester with a UK team under 20 heads. They operate a simple business model that works, with healthy margins to allow for growth.

Description

The role will take full ownership for finance in the UK, partnering with the US parent company to drive performance in UK&I with an eye on expansion plans in Europe. Working as a Management Accountant in Cirencester, you will be tasked with:

• Owning and improving management account production and subsequent MI pack

• Creating and documenting processes to drive best practice

• Managing all reporting to the US parent company (monthly, quarterly, annually)

• Cash flow management including the introduction of cash flow forecasts

• Managing VAT, Corporation Tax and Payroll (with support from a Top 10 audit firm)

• Ad hoc projects including leading the system migration to Oracle early 2020

• Key member of the senior leadership team

Profile

The successful Management Accountant must be passionate about working in a smaller business with more exposure. The right individual will be happy rolling up their sleeves, working in a small finance team (this role and an Accounts Assistant) and will be focused on delivery. To apply you should meet the following criteria:

• Part qualified, qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or QBE (qualified by experience)

• Experience working in an SME or a genuine passion and attitude to do so

• Management accounting

• Transactional accounting

• Strong communication skills

• Awareness of payroll, VAT and corporation tax submission (desirable)

• Knowledge of Sage 50 (desirable)

Job Offer

Salary on offer is £35,000 - 45,000 + package
