  • Ensuring that risk committees operate effectively to provide the Board and senior management with information to oversee and manage risk;
  • Ensuring that risk committees comply with regulatory and legislative requirements, and fulfil their responsibilities as outlined in the risk management frameworks; and

Maintaining effective infrastructure to assist risk committee chairs in the effective operations of their committees.


  • Contribute to team development by providing regular feedback and coaching to more junior staff
  • Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships and consult with stakeholders, and obtain appropriate input into and support for on-going development and application of effective risk governance practices
  • Lead by example to foster the development and maintenance of a strong risk culture across the Group
  • Proactively identify industry trends and best practice in risk governance
  • Risk Governance
  • Support committee chairs and business areas to ensure that high-quality, relevant and consistent information is provided to the risk committees, facilitating decision-making and promoting an integrated view of risk management across the team
  • Communicate key information about the risk committees to stakeholders (Chairs, members, authors, contributors, attendees and action owners)
  • Coordinate reviews of key risk committee papers and governance documents including committee terms of reference, agendas, and governance updates
  • Coordinate governance processes, including content for regular committee reports, assurance processes, and minutes and tracking of action items
  • Oversee all risk committee meeting tasks, including meeting administration and paper distribution
  • Manage risk governance documents and controls
  • Respond to queries from stakeholders, and provide advice on governance protocols
  • Identify, develop and implement opportunities to improve support processes, controls and documentation relating to the operation of risk committees and the Risk Governance team
  • Work across the Regulatory, Governance & Assurance team to contribute to strategic initiatives as required
