Finance Business Partner

This position works as part of the UK Shared Services department within UK & Ireland, managing the daily operations and risk management of the Company's Accounts Receivable process. The role is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and development of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures

Description

The Finance Business Partner role involves:

• Business Partner with Brand MDs and Brand Head of sales and their teams to ensure effective information-sharing
• Business Partner with our US shared service team developing relationships, Service level agreements and efficient working practices
• Develop systematic process to identify inherent credit risk with new and existing business partners
• Proactively review and develop clear and timely key performance indicator (KPI) reporting to Shared service manager, International finance Director and UK brand MDs. This should clearly show aged debtors, known credit risks and payment trends
• Develop clear performance targets for all credit analysts
• Build good working relationship with corresponding staff at major travel agencies and maintain good general awareness of the major players in the UK business
• Liaise with Company's credit insurers to ensure efficiency of cost:benefit
• Evaluate all processes within the Accounts Receivable area to ensure best practice and efficiencies
• Develop programme of self-testing to ensure effective internal controls
• Ensure VAT items pertaining to the Accounts Receivable function are properly recorded and refreshed where appropriate

Other

• Supervision and mentoring of five members of staff (only 2 of which are direct reports).

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role will :

• be Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA
• Have strong reporting experience
• Have strong process improvement experience
• Have strong business partner experience (liaising with Senior Stakeholders & non Finance teams across the business)
• Have intermediate Excel skills (V look ups, pivot tables)

• Ideally have Risk Management experience
• Ideally have supervised or managed in a previous role
