Description

Financial Accountant

As this is a new position in the finance team you will be mentored and supported by the Financial Controller. This business is happy to look at candidates from a non manufacturing background as it is more important that they find the right type of candidate and someone who will bring fresh ideas and be able to make the role their own. You will have regular interaction with other members of the business and it is important that you are able to confidently challenge and be able to spot problem areas quickly. Although the below is not an exhaustive list, it does give a good idea of what the day to day will look like.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual consolidated accounts
• Prepare annual statutory accounts
• Prepare annual reporting pack
• Prepare quarterly consolidated financial schedules
• Address financial accounting queries
• Prepare and input monthly accounts
• Prepare monthly consolidation for management accounts
• Prepare annual consolidation for statutory accounts and audit
• Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Ad hoc projects
• Deputising for FD when required

Profile

Successful applicant will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified but will also consider people who have relevant experience, part qualified and QBE applicants will not be taken forward. This role needs you to be able to work well in a team and build relationships with all key stakeholders not limited to the finance team. You will have support of the Finance Director if you require it so although a manufacturing background would be desirable this is not essential.

Depending on candidate experience salary range is between £35,000 and £45,000.
