Group Finance Manager
Cheshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 based upon experience

Our client is a well-established national distributor. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) is preferable.
The role requires previous accounting software experience, Sage is desirable.
Candidates would require strong excel proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, principal activities include, but not limited to:-
Responsible for a finance team overseeing cash book, sales ledger and purchase ledger
Preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary & analysis Annual account production
Statutory account preparation
Cash flow forecasting and management including FOREX
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Balance sheet reconciliations
Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, bankers and statutory organisations
Developing internal control systems, compliance and procedures
The ideal candidate will:
Be able to evidence relevant experience
Have good time management skills
Be able to work under their own initiative
Have excellent communication skills
Previous accounting software experience, Sage is desirable
Be proactive with a desire to succeed
Be well organised and show keen attention to detail
