Finance Analyst

The Company

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to work within the service charge department of a well-established housing association in Birmingham.



Your Profile

The successful candidate must have a strong analytic background and service charge experience. Only candidates who are part-qualified in a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) will be considered for the role. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are a must - the successful candidate must be able to confidently use pivot tables and Vlookups on a daily basis. Time organisation is required to work as part of a team that prepares schedules, tables, letters, invoices and documents to meet legal deadlines.



The Role

The aim of this role is to work as part of a team that checks relevant costs, revenue and calculation service charges. The main responsibilities are:

• Preparing annual service charge accounts
• Assist with queries regarding service charge calculations
• Produce service charge statements
• Support operations teams in annual budgeting
• Calculate charges by inputting data onto relevant models
• Maintain compliant and accurate records in keeping with internal and external auditors
• Investigate costs and report findings on possible solutions
• Ad hoc duties when required

Salary and Benefits

Salary is between £24,000 and £30,000 depending on experience.
