Finance Manager - External Reporting - Plc

A rapidly expanding Irish business, with significant global operations, have engaged Barden to identify a high calibre accountant with 2-4 years post qualification experience to take on a key role in their external financial reporting team. Working within a very high achieving team you will play a key role in all external reporting activity. If you are a 2nd year manager in Big 4 or similar and have what it takes to work in one of the most dynamic teams in Dublin this is the opportunity for you. "This is a key role in a small, highly capable team, within a large group finance function. Your peers in this team will all be top 10% intake big 4 trained accountants that have moved from practice at manager or director level over the last 4 years. This role has come about due to an internal promotion and there will be great scope for the right person to enable their career outside of practice" - Head of External Reporting The role will include but will not be limited to: External Group financial reporting - annual and interim financial processes, liaison with Divisional teams and external auditors; resolution of queries; follow-through to sign-off; Preparation and review of Group IFRS consolidated financial statements in a multinational multi-currency environment to strict external reporting deadlines; Preparation and audit of Annual Report and Form 20-F in compliance with Irish/UK and SEC reporting requirements; Assist and support Divisional reporting entities on relevant reporting issues and local statutory financial reporting; Assist in the continued development and optimisation of financial reporting in Hyperion; Follow-through of the practical implications of financial reporting developments; Liaising with auditors in respect of assigned areas during the course of the financial consolidation exercise and, as appropriate, with other external specialists; Assist in the Group financial budgeting process; Other ad-hoc projects and requests from senior management; The role is cross-Divisional with international exposure and has strong links with other teams within Group Finance and elsewhere within the business.
