About the role:
This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our Retail Banking division at our Newstead office, specialising in retail risk governance, risk assurance and reporting.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for:
  • Management of all Retail Risk Governance Committees/Forums, policies, frameworks, Risk reporting and insights for the Retail Bank.
  • Oversight of retail risk initiatives and projects, coordinating specialist resources as required to support both retail risk projects and broader delivered risk as it pertains to the Retail Bank.
  • Coordination, facilitation and creation of all risk forum packs and papers, including Retail Bank Risk Committee (committee secretary), Group Operational Risk Committee and other forums as required (Risk Committee, Board, Product forums, etc.).
  • Detailed retail risk oversight of all Retail products, working closely with the product team to identify, assess, treat, monitor and report risks and any remediation activities, including oversight of any reportable breaches.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Retail Banking Risk Management & Risk Culture, which is foundational to delivering good customer outcomes.
  • Responsible for coordination of Retail Risk changes and enhancements

About you:
To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate significant prior experience in a similar role, with advanced skills in:
  • Analytics & problem solving
  • Report writing and analytic skills
  • Communication (verbal and written)
  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills at all organisational levels with the ability to work effectively with personnel across a wide variety of areas and organisational levels
  • MS office suite of products, and specifically Excel
  • Written report presentation
  • Knowledge of banking or finance processes and practices, and a working knowledge of operational risk management
You will also have tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, law, risk management or finance, coupled with experience in banking, finance and/or risk management.
