The role as Purchase to Pay specialist is centred around ensuring that the invoices are correctly allocated and posted to the right journals. The objective is to deliver continuous improvements to reduce exception-handling and query volumes.

The client is a renowned international hotel chain specialising in providing luxury suites and resorts. They have a dominant presence in the market and their coverage is vast over the circa 100 years they've been in business.

Description

The key responsibilies:

  • Use RCA (Root Cause Analysis) tools and trend analysis to identify fixes and improvements in processes to reduce and/ or remove exception-handling by the hotel teams
  • Resolve queries or transactions as necessary, including advising on the correct coding of invoices
  • Identify and implement improvement areas for query flows in the
  • Assist hotels with processes such as CHAPS, petty cash, customer refunds, new suppliers, etc
  • Maintain standing data in the system such as default GL Codes
  • Assist the team to monitor query response timeliness & accuracy by the Hotel Operations teams.
  • Update all Fixed Cost, PO and non-PO trackers
  • Work with the record-to-report (R2R) team at month-end to resolve any P&L queries
  • Monitor process compliance by Hotel users
  • Help deliver training to Hotel Operational teams in the PTP processes - this may involve refresher/ new starter trainings, and also training process changes.
  • Deliver continuous improvements to reduce exception-handling and query volumes in for all Hotels
  • Perform AP statement reconciliations for suppliers required to ensure accurate accruals
  • Review expense reports
  • Oversee to ensure operations compliance with all retained internal controls at property level
  • Profile

    The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • Must possess the ability to analyse large amounts of data / information efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work
  • Education - A level or equivalent
