Financial Generalist - Belfast Who you will be working with: Abacus Professional Recruitment are seeking immediately available candidates as we are working with a leading software company within Belfast city centre. An urgent requirement has arisen in the company's finance team to bring on a financial professional for a 3 month contract to cover a staff absence. While this is initially for 3 months there is the possibility this could be extended. Salary £22,000-25,000 What you will do: Support deliverables from Accounts Payable function Process transactions through Financial accounting system Reconcile and process expenses and credit card reconciliations Handling month end responsibilities Prepare and submit Statutory Returns - to include Statistics and Data Support key stakeholders through the provision of ad hoc and standard reporting and analysis including P&L and balance sheet Participate in projects or ad-hoc duties as requested What do we look for? Minimum of 3 years experience within a Finance function essential including: Working knowledge of financial accounting systems Previous experience of reconciling and month end processing Previous experience of preparation of statutory returns Excellent IT skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel to include working knowledge of Pivot Tables and Look-ups Strong organisational and time-management skills Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office packages including strong Excel skills Ability to work well under pressure, manage own workload and meet deadlines Well-developed analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Good numeracy and literacy skills and a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
