Acquisitions & Funds/Transactions Analyst

The Role:

A very exciting opportunity has been made available for an experienced acquisitions analyst to join a renowned business to play an integral role in catering to new capital looking to invest in institutional grade assets in major Australian markets. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director & join an organization that seeks to be the global leader in its field by offering a broad and deep investment platform that consistently delivers world-class investment results and exceptional service.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate financial modelling of intuitional grade real estate investment opportunities, including property level and investment cash flows, and interpretation and communication of returns
  • Prepare underwriting models for all new acquisitions utilising a combination of Argus & Excel models
  • Model scenarios and sensitivities including hold period, debt to equity ratio, capital expenditure program, market rents, growth rates, capitalisations rates and lease up periods
  • Source and provide research data supporting the key underwriting assumptions, such as market rents, growth rates, vacancies and incentives
  • Assist in the collation o Investment Committee papers & other documents as required
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for all clients and liaise closely with external accounting providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Ad-hoc support for the asset manager in monitoring financial performance and to ensure client objectives are achieved



Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA Qualified
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a property valuations role, transactions analysis or trust analyst role is essential
  • Experience in Argus Enterprise or similar valuation software programs
  • Valuation background with a focus on office and industrial assets in an Australian setting
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening) with an ability to communicate complex and/or financial issues in an understandable manner
