Language speaking - Credit Controller

Is your native language or are you fluent in either Swedish, Hungarian, Polish, French, German, Spanish and Italian?

and you have experience in Accounts payable, Credit Control and Finance.

Our client is an huge organisation within the engineering industry with a global reach and a multimillion pound turnover.

A exciting position has arisen within their Finance department, for someone to liaise with international clients within Europe to ensure the credit limits are accurate and up to date.

The Role:

The country specific finance assistants are the back bone of a European SSC for the finance division, covering Purchase ledger/Accounts payable/Receivable and Credit Control for suppliers, customer subsidiaries entities across EMEA.

Its a team that prides itself on its ability to deliver; strong processes and above all a friendly, supportive team environment.

We are now looking to add to this team with an experienced finance assistant.

Key duties:

To assist in meeting the client and supplier SLA relating to P2P (purchase to payment) activities.

Principal accountabilities:

Purchase to Pay

• Review and chase Company debt in order to maximise cash collections and reduce aged debt.
• Identify and resolve queries through liaising with various internal departments and customers to ensure payments are received in a timely manner
• Escalating issues via team leader to push resolution on behalf of the customer to expediate payment
• Organise and partake in customer meetings as required with a view to obtaining payment and building relationships
• Assist in relevant projects, wherever necessary and required

General

• Support senior members of staff in maintaining and developing the quality of services provided
• Provide information and statistics from data in area of responsibility on a regular basis and as required
• Contribute to process improvement activities
• Work closely with EU Company Accountants to resolve queries
• Liaise with non-financial managers across whole EU business

What we are looking for

As an experienced finance professional you will be:

• AAT part qualified or equivalent
• Fluent or a native speaker of either French, German, Spanish or Italian
• Previous working experience (minimum 2 years) within Credit Control or Purchase ledger
• Detail-minded accounting assistant
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles
• Proficient Microsoft Excel

Sadly, this is not a trainee position and previous experience in a similar finance role is essential.
