Commercial Analyst

Vargo is recruiting for a fantastic Cardiff based client with offices in the heart of the City. The client has created a new role which will report into the Financial Controller but will also work closely with the analytics and operational teams.
The role will suit either a finalist or recently qualified accountant that is looking to expand on their skills. It will be a busy role working to tight deadlines and across various business entities.

The role will include the following areas:
• Month end reporting
• Project Accounting
• Developing and creating operational analysis reports monitoring company performance, looking at budgets, forecasts, costing and KPIs
• Work collaboratively to develop reporting tools, models and processes
• Performance industry research to improve analytical intelligence and systems
• Continuously look to improve reporting timescales

Skills & Experience:

• Part / newly qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Some exposure to analytical tools such as Microsoft BI, Access
• Previous experience working with large data sets

• This role will offer two potential career paths, the first will be to manage people as the team grows and the second will be to as a senior commercial analyst.
